Welcome to Balanced, Innovative Perspectives

We have been working in the media since
the mid-eighties and have a broad base of experience that includes producing
and hosting talk shows, guests on radio and television, free lance writing and
reporting for a variety of local and national magazines. After being mentored by
an old time hard news journalist we came to understand the importance of doing
our research with reliable documented sources. We continue to hold to that
model and strive to collect and present information with
more than one perspective on any topic. We hope that approach will encourage
the readership
to form their own opinions rather injecting bi-partisan views of our own.
Whenever we write, produce and
present material there is an emphasis on using critical thinking skills to cultivate
fair-minded analysis of information. Within our model of balanced, innovative perspectives
we do not subscribe to dogma, one-sided trending or spin doctoring. Nor do we
accept things on blind faith alone. Our minds are always open to diverse
opinions but not so much that our brains fall out. Within our model for
presenting balanced, innovative perspectives we believe that those who make extraordinary
claims need to provide equally extraordinary facts to corroborate their positions.
Within the onslaught of ever
expanding ideas along the information highway there is a need to be discerning about
what are valid considerations versus jumping on spin doctored band wagons
disguised as credible reporting. In our
observations some of the mainstream media tends to do far more copying
information from other sources then commenting before fact checking. Some even
pick and report information from Bloggers with their own agendas. Those who are
caught up with mass thinking may prefer to remain attached to existing views
rather than opening the heart and mind to ideas that do not support their
existing ideologies and belief systems. This approach tends to create faulty reasoning.
We do not.
When we present our perspectives
on everything from Blogs, course material or even Pinterest we are cognizant that
what we say, think and do speaks volumes about who we are. We strive to apply
critical thinking skills when evaluating the information coming in and out
of streams of consciousness whether our own or from outside sources. For
information to be credible it needs to be presented in thoughtful disciplined
ways. Often it is not the ideas that readers find offensive but in the way the
way they are presented.
No one likes to be talked down to
or made to feel they are being personally attacked whenever there is a
difference of opinion. In all we are and do our goal is to exchange ideas in a spirit
of respectful dialog that does not tell others what to think. Our intention is
to offer balanced perspectives that encourage others to consider divergent
viewpoints whether they agree or disagree. We use this approach use when
working with clients in life coaching, writing, producing seminars and course
material or public speaking engagements.
